OUTSKIRTS - LATE NIGHT
It’s the dead of night.
HER POV
Glides along the road, leading into town.
Eerie.
She arrives at the town entrance.
And sees --
A statue. Of Stree. Complete with ghungat covering her eyes.
And labeled as ‘Protector of the Town’.
Under it is the inscription: ‘O Stree, Raksha Karo!’
She stares at it for a long moment -- pondering.
Then, in her signature move, tilts her head to the side with
a sigh.
